Pc wont boot!!!

Hi, I got a gateway gp6-450 and have been having problems with it, at first it will only boot whenever it wanted, so i thought maybe was a power supply problem so I clean it up and started working just fine for a while but now it wont boot up at all...I change the power supply and still nothing!! the lights kind of flick for two seconds and then nothing? PLEASE HELP!

if you have more than one stick of ram, take one out, try again, if it doesn't work, put the other in, if it works then it's the ram...if not it's possibly a fried mobo or cpu.

If the problem happens while the system is still cold, such as when you first turn it on. The problem is most likly a mechanical, such as a loose connection. On the other hand, if the problem occurs when the system is hot after it has been running for a while, Its probably caused by a semiconductor component that is close to failure
