Talk ATI TV Wonder showing as Radeon 9200 SE (secondary)

Hi there! Here's what appears to me to be a strange one! After my recent problem with the AGP slot on my PC, I bought an ATI Radeon 9200SE PCI 128Mb card which is running fine, the problem is that I also have an ATI TV Wonder PCI card on my system and it isn't showing up in Device Manager, instead, under Display Adapters, I now have Radeon 9200SE PCI 128Mb and Radeon 9200SE PCI 128Mb (secondary) and I can't understand why! I have all the latest drivers for both cards downloaded and installed from the ATI website as well as the latest version of the Multimedia Centre software. Secondly, when I first ran Multimedia Cantre, I got a message saying that DirectX was not installed properly, this despite the fact I've just installed DirectX 9.0b directly from the Microsoft DirectX site! If anyony has a suggestion as to how I get the TV Wonder to be detected in it's own right, I'd be very greatful! Thanx! Davie.

The Radeon card showing as two instances is perfectly normal. It's a dual head capable chip after all, and it's showing one instance per head.

This is nothing to do with your TV wonder - this one should still be there.

Peter's right. Your TV Wonder should show up under "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers" in Device Manager.

No problem folks! I swapped the TV Wonder into another PCI slot and it showed up in device manager, I ran the multimedia centre program and it worked OK exept that non of the 25 channels it detected from the cable feed into it showed pictures, there all blank screens! I haven't hooked the audio up to the sound card yet but I don't think there is any as the TV display is showing mono. I guess that either the card doesn't understand the cable signal coming in from the wire or the signals it's picked up aren't TV channels!
