How do you get a icon before the web address?

Ya just like what you see in the address bar now, an icon with a "T" before www.techimo.com?

Were do i go and read up on how to get one working on my site?

If so, then it would be like this:

Obviously, there are various properties you can assign to the anchor tag and the img tag

I followed the procedures outlined in the above site and Mozilla sees the icon but IE does not. Any ideas?
