Now that I have "IT" what should I do with "IT" ?

"It" Is a Hewlett packard LC 2000 Netserver. It looks like this one on ebay.

presently it has.

2x 1.0ghz cpus
512 meg 133 ecc ram (upgradable to 4 gig.)
2 x 18gig scuzi 10,000 rpm drives.
Just for the heck of it I tossed a cheap sound card in it.

how do you think it could be best put to use? I've done a little peer to peer networking with a hub, and presently have 3 connected to the internet through a modem and router.

protecting the server is obviously a must, thats one reason I'm asking you guys for ideas and help explaining what I will have to do.

On the other hand I could use the cash to clear up some debts. what do you think it is really worth at this stage of its' life?

I'd guess it's probably worth around $4-500, I'd certainly love to .have it, but I can't afford to buy it from you atm, sorry.

Maybe more, maybe less, but that's probably what I'd pay for it if I was in the market..
