Issue with USB drive

I'm in love with this thing, im not sure how I ever lived without it. However, I have an annoying problem on my windows 98 mahcine at home. It recgonizes and reads/writes just fine to the drive, but the problem is that POST will halt when the computer is started with the drive plugged in. There is no error message, it just stops, and continues immiedately when you pull the drive out. This isnt a major problem, just an annoyance that I have to reach back and unplug it to restart my computer. Note that this doesn't happen on my other win98 machine. Drivers are current.

try looking in your bios for something called"boot from external device" or something along that line and see if it is disabled

definitely sounds like a bios issue. could check on a bios update if the boot sequence option doesnt help.
