cd duplicator

I would like to assemble a cd duplicator tower that consists of about 5 cd-rw's, one master cd-r, and a controller. I don't know if I am going to be able to figure out how the ribbon cable should be plugged into all these units and how to set the jumpers. I have not gotten the parts yet, but maybe someone could guide me in the right direction.

The drives in these copy machines are normally SCSI interface with drive 0 being the master and drives 1 to 6 being the wrtiters

cd duplicaor "stand alone"

john_phoenix,

The cd duplicator I am talking about is a stand alone where all the cd-rw's copy from the master at the same time. Would the SCSI numbering still apply in this situation? (#0=master cd-r, #1-6 for remaining cd-rw's) Also, would the controller get a number? (the controller is a large controller with a small LCD display on the front of it)

Welcome to TechIMO, where people most useless threads containing information completely unrealted to the original topic and post merely to show that they have read the FAQ and are incapable of using the "report post" feature.

So, when you are referring to "CD-R" and "CD-RW", what are you referring to? Are they not the same thing, or do you mean "CD-ROM" when you say "CD-R". My friend has a Sony deck that has three burners and one master. If you're looking for seperate units, I might be able to find a controller, but my level of expertise on CDP's is lacking.

When I am reffering to "CD-R", I am talking about the drive that will read data only. The "CD-RW" is rewritable. A friend of mine already has a controller. Thanks anyway.
