File format question

Do most cd players, like in cars etc use the file format .cd? thanks

Whats a good program to do that? I can't seem to find one that convert it back to cd

I think my cd burning software burns songs as .wav files, but im not positive. Those cd play on all types of cd players though. I would guess that any cd burning program designed to create music cds would use a compatible format.

nope, they are not .wav files.

And if you want something that can burn try Music Match Jukebox or some other prog. I use Nero myself.

What you want is a Ripper Program. It takes WAV's and rips them into CDA (or CD Audio). Then when you make your CD, be sure to "CLOSE" the session so taht the Audio CD is finished or it won't play.

.cda files are what play in car players and boom boxes etc.

I think what you can do is just get your songs together..and then when you want to burn the cd just burn it as an "audio" cd....I think it will auto convert them to .cda form and it will "close" the cd when it is thru (so u need to get all your songs together ahead of time cuz u cant add to it after its closed)
