how much speed difference would i notice??

I used to run Win2k on a PIII 650 with 512MB

Speed difference should be fairly minimal

is it a celly or P3? of course the celly would be a bit slower.

I've got a slightly slower 800 system running XP and it's still pretty snappy. I'd say 2K will run just fine.

2k runs fine on a P2 with 128MB of RAM. Well, maybe not as fast as some of the newer PCs, but tolerable...

ya, i have xp on a p3 800mhz 340mb ram and it runs pretty well. It helps if you turn off un-needed services.

850 celly running both xp and 98se, both are fast altho the scheduling is different. They have a different feel.
