Gaming 2400+ oc on Asus A7S333

hello, Im a noob oc'er, and i was wondering how do i go about ocing my 2400+ to a 2.4, I heard about the speedstrip (www.speed-strip.com) and it said the best setting were 12.5 with the bus set at 177, I had to update my bios, but now i dont get the 12.5 option nor the 177mhz, is there another set up i can use to oc my cpu?

specs:
Asus A7S333
AMD 2400+ @ 2.0ghz
1gb ram (512 + 2-256) PC2700
Win Xp Sp1

No, software utilities should be avoided when possible. You will need to go into your BIOS and look for your FSB speed. It should be 133Mhz or 266Mhz. If you have anything faster than DDR266, such as DDR333, then start nudging the front side bus up 5-10Mhz at a time, checking your temps and running tests/reboots in between. If it crashes, back it down a bit.

The 2400 has a built in multiplier of 15, the highest stock multiplier of the XP cpus. That sucker runs HOT already.

Don't be disappointed if you cannot achieve much of an overclock.

The PC2700 runs at 166 Mhz FSB x 2 (rising and falling cyle, or "double pumped") for DDR 333 speed.

160 Mhz FSB times 15 = 2.4 GHz, but I doubt it will reach it and remains stable and cool enough.
