Pagefile error thing when Oc'd

Hey peeps. Im having a few probs as to overclocking this system i built

It is an 2500xp
Af7n s
2 x 512mb pc 3500 ram
5700 ultra

Now in the bios i have set it to be a 3200xp.

It boots up fine but after some time of gaming it get a blue screen with accompnying error. It flashes up and disapears really quickly.

As far as i can read. it says winbdows is shut down to prevent damage and that it was an error something anout intel then page file in non paged area.

Unfortuanly its so quick i can tget anything more than that.

I have tried upping the voltage and its at 1.7 now.

I run the unreal tournament demo and it went for 2 hours before the message whereas without the message. I was in fact just thinking maybe i solved it, when it happend

Any suggestions?

While the game was running i was doign other things, namely chatting on msn and monitoring temps ( 48 C )

Send a message via AIM to rpertusio
well, the first thing to do, is find out what the message was. There are 2 ways...

(1) Turn off the automatic restarting:
Control Panel -> System -> [Advanced] tab -> Startup and Recovery [Settings] -> uncheck [ ] Automatically Restart

(2) Look in event logs:
[b]Start Menu[b] -> Run... -> eventvwr.msc
Look through the 'System' logs for errors/warnings. You should also see some text such as: "System has restarted from a bugcheck...". The error code in that message usually matches what the blue screen error was.

right ok

I have found a few red circles and crosess in the system logs

the most recent one ( indeed dated today at 5 ) when the system rebooted reads as follows.

"Error code 10000050, parameter1 f7b1dced, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 f6fe78c3, parameter4 00000000.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

although that means nothing to me...

clicking the link got me to look at this one. which is just b4 it

"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x10000050 (0xf7b1dced, 0x00000000, 0xf6fe78c3, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini042104-03.dmp.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
