Adding a window

Ok I want to add a window to my case, Would it be easier just to buy a new case with a window or actually buy a window kit? Also do the window kits like this these come with the window or are those just things u put on the plexi glass then on your case and cut it out? Anyways ty for the help.

I have this cheapy one http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...182-039&depa=0 lol anyways might just be better to get a new case, but I don't have any complaints about this. I recommend it to anybody in need of a good cheap case. I actually have the older version w/out the 2 side fans.

It's really easy to make a window. I did it a couple of months ago. I bought myself some very fine metal cutting jigsaw blades and cut out a nice window. Also bought a piece of plexi and adhered it to the inside. I'd have to say it looks real professional. Just be sure to take your time. And remember...measure twice and cut once.

yeah just do as RRCN says. Take your time and when your finished put the plexi on the inside. I did it to my old comp. ad although it was a bit rough. ( very unsteady hand ). It looked great. And was the size and shape I wanted.

If you want the easy way out, buy a windowed side-panel/casing.

If you want to be one of a kind, cut the side-panel using e.g. dremmel, to any designs you desire. And don't forget the plexiglass.

I dunno about buying just the door, but if you have the courage to do it yourself, what you can do is use the current fan opening as a template and cut out your own fan hole in the plexi.

[EDIT]: The two best ways I have found to cut out a hole in plexi is either using a coping saw or a whole saw. If your gonna use a coping saw, use some WD-40 to ease the cutting process. I tried to do it with a jig saw and ended up breaking the plexi. I find plexi easier to cut with a hand saw rather than a power tool cause the power tool heats up the plexi and it will stick itself right back together once the blade gets a tad warm.
