Can a Dell Inspiron 1100 use an internal wireless mini PCI card?

Hi all,

According to the Dell site it's not possible (I think there's no internal antenna), but I'm wondering if there's a workaround.

Thanks.

If the reason you want an internal wifi card becasue you do not want to have an antenna sticking out of the PCMICA slot, you will like the x-jack:
http://www.3com.com/products/en_US/d...&sku=3CRPAG175

Its a PCMICA Wifi card with a retractable antenna, so when you need it, the antenna will pop out, when your done, you can pop it in, without taking out the NIC.
Hope it helps, Paul

So, this is more-or-less flush with the slot (when antenna is retracted)? If so, this should do it.

Thanks.
