mp3 file size help

hey all, I have an mp3 file that is about 2.3mb, I need to make this size considerably smaller, but the file format needs to be something compatible with dreamweaver, any ideas?

Not without seriously compromising the quality of the sound. What are you using it for, a Powerpoint presentation or something?

Do you want the whole audio file intact, or is it fine to cut it to make its size smaller?

Osprey's right, the standard quality of an mp3 is 128kbps. so I'm guessing your mp3 file is 2:30. to ocmpromise your audio quality your going to have to rip it at 64kbps, or find it already at that bitrate.

Download dBpowerAMP Music Converter. It is a free app. U can take a say 300bit mp3 and reduce it to 192 or any size u want. Use Adobe Audition for croping mp3s. I use it to cut out the dead parts mp3s at the begining and end.
