USB2 and 6and 1 reader problem

On two different systems I have installed usb2 pci cards and attached 6-1 card readers with xp pro the drivers for both istalled with out a problem. The problem is that after the computer starts up and I am on the desk top xp comes up with an error saying there is no disk in each of the card reader drives and I have to click cancel six times. Any way to turn this off?

on my card readers and xp-pro, I did not need to install any drivers, xp has what you need, maybe that could be the cause.

on one machine i didnt load any drivers and still have the problem have used the same card reader on a machine with usb2 on the mb and no problems

try lookin in your bios and see if you have a function like "boot from external device" or something like that and disable it. that mite help
