Outdoors XP64 setup

I managed to install XP64bit on my machine with XP pro. It installed but when i try to setup sound, vga and RAID drivers it does not work, Sound drivers were installed as well as as ATI drives for my r9800XT but no go. The drivers and the actual Graphics seems absent to 64bit version and even after installing the sound drivers it still does not work. I have even tried installing from the motherboard driver disc (autorun) but it wont even bring up the setup screen, it only says that there was an error openeing the setup file, but the cd is fine defintely no corrupt files.

So...what do i do. I am stuck with a worthless OS that i can't test because i dont have sound or graphics or LAN. Does anyone know how to set up Windows XP 64bit Version with al the drivers?

u need to install 64bit raid drivers from a floppy during set up.

the realtek beta 64-bit sound drivers are bugged..to get sound using these drivers u must plug your speakers into your mic socket.

as far as i know there aren't any 64-bit ati drivers yet.

get all available drivers and stuff here.

and check out the 64-bit beta newsgroup for up to date stuff and for help.

XP 64bit is still a beta so there really isn't any "official" driver support for it...just keep checking the sites that doddsy posted and make do the best you can...

that's half the fun of being a beta tester

AFAIK there is no real official release date. It all kinda depends on the testing process and how quickly they can get application support up and running for some of the more popular software packages stabilized.
