Kids Dual boot with Xp and XP64bit Edition

I have WinXP Pro installed on one hdd on my computer. I want to install WinXp64 bit Beta on my other SATA hardisk on the same computer. Will installing Xp64bit enable dual boot?

My guess is that it will be just like installing 2k and xp, the install will sort it out pretty well.

you will need another partition for your 64 bit but if the process is anythink like installing xp then all you would need to do is choose to not overwrite the other installation and choose to install it on the other partition

I have tried to install it but when windows installation begins it can only see the first hdd drive with 4 partitions but not my second hdd which is SATA.
How can i install the beta onto the SATA hard disk?

Can your board support IDE and Serial HDDs to run at the same time? Do you need to change the bios to recognize you're using a serial HDD?

Or you may need to load SATA drivers from floppies at the beginning of the install.

Why don't you get a converter to make your IDE hard drive SATA? That might make them recognize each other.

I've seen them on eBay. Here's one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...124774319&rd=1
