Kids Different way to secure a case fan???

Need some suggestions. I just found out that I can't remove the lower front of the case I bought, and I want to install an 80mm intake fan. Has anyone tried any different methods of installing a case fan without screws? How about super glue or really strong tape? I'm open to suggestions. Just about finished with this new build, and think it's time for a dinner break

Robert

google for an 80mm fan template. Download and print. Paste to case. Use drill to create screw holes. done.

This is a pre-modded case I got for my daughter. The front of the case is not flush, and there is a space between the plastic and the steel honey-comb of the frame. I thought this case would be like my Aspire Super X-Alien case. The front pops off and you can mount the forward case fans.

I could try and mount the fan from the inside, but the angle is very difficult and I would need longer screws. Super glue looks pretty good right now

I really don't want to bother with coming in through the front of the case. Just call me "The Backdoor Man". It's either going to be the longer screws or the glue. Trying to decide if I want to drive to Home Depot.

No Home Depot. Found the right size screws in my basement junk box. Drilled the holes, and the fan is in. Now on to stuff I know how to do

Next time if you need to, use silicone sealant, its available everywhere, insulates vibration and is removable later...

also, if you're looking in the future for another case, check out the Chieftec cases...they have plastic mounts that the fans snap into...very handy, no screws needed, and you can pop them out for easy cleaning.

Sounds like a good feature. I'll remember that in the future.

Thanks to all,

everyone beat me to it, but the superglue would have been a bad idea...gotta clean them fans from time to time.
