How I can connect XBox to my media PC

I just got a new gateway media computer with a flat lcd monitor. I can't figure out how to connect my xbox to the PC. The Gateway has TV, dvd Rw etc. I also have cable connection. Is it possible to connect the XBox to the PC?

Then you either get a wireless router and come from the cable modem to the router and then to the pc and the wireless signal goes to the xboz adapter.


or you MIGHT be able to just get a wireless adapter for the computer and it will be able to talk to the xbox wireless adapter in whats called "ad hoc" mode.

and they probably also make "wired" adapter where you would either hook to a router or just have it go to a second netwrok card in the pc.

I dont want to be online, I just want to be able to play the xbox thru my computer like before with the old one.

My computer has audio/video hook ups (red/white/yellow) in the back, when I connect nothing happens.

Before with the old computer I had Sonic Adapter to watch TV and hook up the Xbox. With this one, I don't need sonic adapter to watch TV it is direct. I also have digital cable (for television) but the xbox is not showing up when I connect. Is there a way for that? Directly connect my Xbox to my PC and play? (I have Linksys router but I don't want to play online) I connected the 2 audio (red/white)to audio on Pc red/white and Yellow xbox video connection to yellow xbox video on PC. Why is not working? (the Pc has the 128 radeon card) it connects to the monitor with analog connection but I think I can connect it with a digital PC/monitor connection also. Do you think that is the problem?

If the computer has a TV tuner card, you should be able to plug the Xbox in, start the TV viewing application (should be in Media Center somewhere), and see what's coming from the cable.
