What's the difference between AIW 9800 and 9800 Pro?

I'm referring to the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb vs. the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb.

Quite a larger price difference, but I don't see what's so different about it.

The AIW has a built in TV tuner. It is also capable of HDTV output.

The price difference should be about $50, the cost of a separate TV tuner. But you also get the remote, and capture capabilities, among other things.

ATI AIW 9800 Pro is the same chipset as the regular 9800 Pro. Differences are as follows: On-board tuner card, video inputs, (Cable and SVideo/Composite) Included Component output cable (for component/HDTV output) and a RF remote control. All of that, along with the video editing software.

The software runs about $100 or so, retail, the tuner card with remote is about $50 I think... add the component output at $30 and it adds up quick. The best prices I have seen on the Radeon 9800 Pro are about $199 +s/h whereas the AIW 9800 Pro goes for about $339. Not too bad of a value if the capture card works as advertised.

I'm looking at picking one up in the near future... waiting for the prices to drop a bit with the release of the new NVidia 6800's and the new ATI's that are coming out. Hope this helps.

Mark
