Is XPHome SP1 Worth buying/installing, when SP2 is comming soon ?
The price for XP Home seems to have come down a bit lately. I suspect it might be older pre-SP1 XPHome on sale.
Started on two builds.

I am a beta tester for XP SP2.

and yes it is worth buying... SP2 for XP will be a free download.

All service packs for Microsoft OS products are free to download.
