ever have trouble with clogged inkjets?

Being the frugal person that I am I bought one of those refill kits for the color cartridge on my printer, and refilled it. I only had one problem. Clogged heads and what to use to clean them? I finally found the answer. “Shout” the laundry stain remover works very well. Just soak the heads for a while and it will work much better.

You didn't mention the brand/model of printer in question. Epson, by any chance?..

try mixing "shout" with distilled water in a 15%/85% mix then heat til just shy of boiling about 180F or whateverthat is in Celcius...(70-90???) then put the ink just the lower half of the cartridge in it til you see ink comming out(you need to see all three colors kind of mixing to make black on triple color cartridges...pretty cool to see..)then remove from the solution and "BLOT"!!!!!!(do NOT!!!!! rub)dry...place back in printer and run cleaning/maint. cycle twice....should make it good as new and ready for more refills....if still clogged repete as many times as ness.

I have saved what i thought were dead cartridges this way....but be warned this is not 100% effective.....and be careful not to burn yourself......(DUHHHH!!!)

I'm about 85% at saving them but ofcourse.....YMMV!!!.....LOL

Just threw out my old inkjet in favor of a laser printer. I only do black and white anyway!

Not all print heads (that clog up) are on the print cartridges. Mine are..(Lexmark).. but Cannon?.. I can't remember exactly, but I have read of a few that the actual print head is not a part of the ink cartridge.

Thanks for the tip.. I generally soak mine in warm water..but I have a couple color cartridges that are still stopped up. I'll give shout a shot.

I've got a few ink cartridges at home that need to be salvaged. I'll have to give these suggestions a try...
