Computer on standby

I would like to keep my computer running thruout the day and for some reason, lately it does not work. When I leave it on, after about 10 min I get this message "The device driver for Communications (Com 1) device is preventing tne machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update the driver.' I have closed all applications but I cannot get it to enter standby. How can I update the driver.

What OS?

You could go into Device Manager and try and update from there from Properties and Driver for Com 1.

Probably won't work IMO.

Are you even using Com 1?

If not try disabling it.
