winxp - align to grid

when you right click -> arrange icons by type -> align to grid

i was wondering, is there a way to change the size of this grid?

changing the screen resulation would do that, but somehow I don't think thats what you want to hear.

well im already running at 1600x1200...

ive tried changing the vertical spacing between icons, but it doesnt seem to do anything for my desktop icons

I'm having the same problem @ 1600x1200. When I increase the vertical spacing, it does nothing...the icons didn't even move!
