City of Heros vs. Lineage 2

I'm pondering between the two games, both from the same publisher and both coming out at the same time but not sure which one will be more polished and innovative. I mean being ur own super hero in a huge city sprawling with crime is very fun and easy to distinguish urself amongst others but then again lineage 2's Helms Deep style castle sieges are what I've wanted from a MMORPG in a LONG time. I gotta decide by the end of the month but whatever I pick is going to be the mMO game of the summer for me as Planetside was last year. What do you guys think? Ya gotta admit both are innovative and new to the MMORPG world.

I have played EQ for years, and as soon as COH comes out at the end of the month, without a DOUBT I will be cancelling EQ and playing city of heros. I dont care about how much I have invested into EQ, the level of character custimization in COH is unbelievable.

I have played UO/DAoC/SWG/FF11/E&B/EVE/NEOCRON and IMHO, city of heros is the best online game ever made.

Its easy to get into....the combat is fast and furious....and also, fun as hell.....the characters all look different and you feel like a super hero at level 1. There is no 10-20 levels of killing rats until you feel like a hero. You can team up with anyone....any level with the sidekick system...so no more losing your friends due to playing times.

Ever wanna fly? All I can say is its awesome....I could do that for hours.


Now, to play devils advocate.

There is no crafting or uber loot. If you play the game for 60 hours a week you will have nothing over a casual player except levels.......this is not a hardcore mmo'rs game. All good points to me.....but some people cant deal with it.

There is no PvP yet....but I will guarantee there will be...in the form of arenas or duels.....but I doubt there will ever be hardcore, griefing pvp....unless super villians are in the game.

And I enjoy that it can be played at a casual level; my problem with everquest is that I could only go so far on a casual level before I hit the wall, and I just dont have 30 hours a week to put into a game.

COH is a great game. I've been playing it for the last few days and I'm addicted to it. I will definatly be buy it and playing it for a while to come. I wanted something other than the normal fantasy game. COH seems to be the answer for me for now.
