Tech Moving Mozilla address books, mail, bookmarks

from one hard drive to another. And I've forgotten how!

I've searched the old hard drive (now installed as a slave D drive on my new machine) for the "bookmarks" file: there are several, but none corresponds to my most recent one. And of course I don't know what the other files are called.

Can someone help me out here?

The newer Mozilla 1.6 and Netscape 7.0 you need c:\windows \Application Data\Mozilla
Just move that entire folder and contents.

In older versions such as 4.x you need c:\program files\netscape\users\ your account name

Last time I did this I had to also go into my preferences file and fix all the paths. It was easy enough to do with search & replace.

Your preferences file is located (on xp/2000)

Documents and Settings\[WindowsUserName]\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\[MozillaUserName]\[randomstring]\prefs.js

That was the trick. Thanks, OuTpaTienT.
