runtime error 424. wazzat??
a friend has the same cable connection as i do. dont know any specs on his puter,tho it does have win 98,so i m assuming its an older machine.
he managed to get the defrag to work. now when he s online for around 20 minutes or so,he gets booted offline with an error screen that says "runtime error 424".
could this be caused by a virus? i forgot to ask him if he has any antivirus software running.
i googled for that error and just got more confused the more i read. i did read on one forum about possibly a virus causing this.
i sent him home with spybot,adaware,and spywareblaster to install and run tonite. probably wont help the error,but might get some of the gunk out.
anyway,any suggestions on the 424 runtime error?registry messed up possibly?
