windows media 9 will not work with radio stations

i have a user running windows xp, media 9 and IE 6. When the user goes to a site that has live radio and clicks to listen, he gets a blank screen then a Internet Explorere error signature (appname iexplore). I have already reloaded media player and windows update and also reset the internet settings..any ideas?

I had this problem and it turned out to be the firewall blocking

thanks..something similar. the user had a "pop up" blocker installed..that killed the pop up that came up when the user tried to listen to a station
