Safe Mode Query

I have a tri-boot system - XP, 2K, & 98.

I hit F8 at the OS menu and it would seem that the only safe mode I can do is for XP.

Anyone know how I can get into safe mode in 98?

Or 2K for that matter.

Thanks,

Bill

I've got an XP - 98 dual, and to reach 98 boot menu you need to hit the control key immediately after hitting the key that will launch 98.

It must be nearly simultaneous- milliseconds at most!

Perhaps your machine is too darn fast!

If you have access to a copy of PC World (june) there's a great shortcut to safe mode from within win98, it's on page 178, I tried it and it works great. If you know how to make shortcuts the syntax is "win /d:m"
