Systems Real dumb question-sorry

Hello. I have a DVI monitor and a VGA output on my computer...is there a way to get them to 'talk'? I tried a gender changer type thingy, but of course that doesn't work. If the monitor is expecting a digital signal, my analog video card cannot provide this.

Many LCD monitors have a combo connector and can support either analog or digital input. But you have to know which connector your monitor has. Check the mfr's web page for the interface specs. DVI-D is digital only. While DVI-I can support both.

tracer, correct. If your display is DVI-D, then a VGA (analog) output won't do.
