Internet Explorer 6

Hi,

I have major problems with Internet Explorer and dont know how I am managing to even be in here typing this. I have no Icon on my Desktop anymore for Internet explorer and i had a lot of spyware and shyte that was messing me around but i managed to sort that out. One motr thing, I had to do was, delete all "ie6" and "internet explorer" strings from the Registry and so now they are gone! This is probably why i have no icon anymore on my desktop.

I however managed to find iexplore.exe from a cab file and now i just run it.

Can somebody please tell me how I can just repair internet explorer?

Sounds like you may have gone just a little bit beyond the "repair" option.

You may need to re-install IE6 from scratch either from Add/Remove Programs or directly from MS.

YEs i know what you mean , hehe. Anyways, I have no option in the add/rem prog , there is no IE6 thingy.

When i download the IEsetup from the Microsoft or whatever site, tucows..., i click next to install and then the dam thing tell me i already have a newer version, but i dont know how that is possible.

Please can you assist me in that?

Just reinstall windows..(overlay).
Your registry tweaking must have removed IE6 from the add and remove. Makes things a little trickey.
