When I had an old Toshiba Satelite Pro 435cds that had a cracked screen, I used eBay. I took the part number and found out the different models of laptops that used it. The replacement part was $700 for a refurb and $900 new. I found a Toshiba Sat 410 with a BIOS issue for $250. For almost a third of the price I replaced the screen and had extra replacement parts plus it had a 16 meg memory upgrade as well.

Look at the LCD replacement websites and they should list the LCD part number. Look to see what other laptops use it and check out eBay.

New is not an option as far as I know.
But
If you are willing to try Ebay:

Your best bet may be to get this done at a local ibm repair shop,
or simply buy another laptop since the cost of the lcd is almost what you'll pay for a new( used) laptop
