Video card w/DVI out for a KT133 chipset MB?

I have a Epox EP8-KTA MB with a KT133 chipset.
I also have a Sapphire 9100 card that I would like to put in it, but I doubt I can because of voltage differences. Or can I?

If not are there any cards that have a DVI out for a KT133 chipset?

seems to me that the card would work fine.

Isnt that baord an AGP 4x board??

then I would think the card would work fine unless it says it wont work at 4x. 9I am not even sure of the speed of the card, is it 4x or 8x? 8X is backwardly compatible with 4x)

----

why do you think it wouldnt work? what voltage difference are you referring to?

That card should work fine on that mobo. It supports AGP 2X (3.3v) and AGP 4X (1.5v) or AGP 2X/4X universal slot.

Is it the newer boards support a LOWER voltage that the older boards?
This board is a 8x and the other board is a 4x AGP slot. The newer board states 1.5V cards only. The older board doesn't mention voltage, only the speed of 4x.

Correct. Typically the newer AGP 4X/8X boards use the lower 1.5v cards. Your card will work fine on the KT133 board and it should work on the newer board also.

Someone else stated that:

2x= 3.3v
4x= 1.5v
8x= .8v

Is that correct?

Yes it is. The AGP 8X cards run at .8v, but use the 1.5v slots and are not compatible with the older AGP 2X 3.3v slots.

All AGP cards _run_ on 3.3V (supply voltage).

The _signalling_ voltage is 3.3V in 1x and 2x modes, and 1.5V in 4x and 8x mode. 8x mode reduces the voltage swing to 0.8V, but it's still 1.5V signalling.

I said that elsewhere already, the KT133 is a "universal AGP" chipset supporting either signalling voltage. Any and all AGP graphics cards, old or new, should work on this one.
