conserving a driver

I have an Xbox controller on my PC its an awesome controller and i found what i felt was the best driver for the device. now im wanting to format and reinstall is there a program i can use to extract the driver im using and save it on a CD or something??

Locate the driver that you downloaded originally and save it. There is a proggy that will do what you're asking. I belive someone else here has a link for it.

Go to device manager, select the device and click driver details. Back up the files associated with it.
Not sure what to do about the .inf file if it isn't listed though.
