Help with second hard drive

I JUST INSTALL A SECOND HARD DRIVE TO MY PC BUT THE NUMBER SEQUENCE ARE DIFERENT,I PUT THE JUMPER AT CORRECT POSITION ON MASTER AND SLAVE BUT THE SLAVE SHOW AS THE MASTER WITH THE C: AND THE MASRTER WITH THE e:
HOW DO I CORRECT THAT ANYONE KNOWS?

Did you connect the Master at the end connector of the IDE cable and the Slave drive on the middle connector?

YES I DID,AND I PUT THE JUMPER AT CORRECT POSITION IN EACH
STILL THE SAME

Does the computer boot properly in that order?

yes it does,work perfect the only thing is the order,anyway that i
coukd change it manualy?

Double-check the jumper on the original drive. On some, it remains the same with or w/o a slave, but others are picky and it MUST be set to "Master with slave present". Some Western Digitals are bad about this.

What about the BIOS settings? Or is it just set to "auto"?
