router problem with wireless card

When I use the onboard NIC connection, It works pretty well. When I use the wireless PCI card, I cann't see the other computer on the router. I have the wireless set to obtain an IP. When I run IPConfig with the wireless, I see an IP address of 169.254.110.68 and a subnet of 255.255.0.0. There is no DNS showing.

When I use a static IP with the wireless (different number from the NIC), I get the same problem.

Also, I cannot get Internet sharing to work on anything (using a 56K modem on one machine). It always tells me 192.168.0.1 is in use when I try to set IC on although no nics are using it.

that port address is what windows gives you when it cant find a dchp server. and thats why it don't work

make sure you have it set to get ip automatically and that the dchp is enabled

To my knowledge, it isn't configured at all. I haven't been able to reach it. But I can connect through it via ethernet cables.
