nero and xp help

hi there well i really hope someone can help.
ive been using nero 5.5.7 all the time.i had it on me fine everything works.
ive now got xp pro.now it has been burning cd's fine but the cover designer wont work.so i decided to uninstal ,now only some has been uninstalled and nothing works on it at all.cant remove it and cant load it.please someone help.when i try to install it says application failed to inizalize.press ok to abort.

reinstall nero, using an administrator account, and see if that helps. remember to update nero from the website, it isn't the clearest of website layouts, so it may take a little time to find the nero 5 updates amongst all the nero 6 stuff, but it is in there, somewhere. always used expressit for covers, myself, so i don't know if this is a common problem with cover designer under xp, but if it is, then the updates will likely fix it.

hi there,thanks for the info mate,but im still struggling.
i dont know how to install using adminsinstrator.
im quite a newbiee when it comes to things like this as it has been working fine untill the other day now noting at all works.cant even uninstall .
any easy steps to do this would be good.
its allways the way though i have to have my demo cd's ready for tonight so its not looking good at the mo

to check if you have admin rights on your account, use control panel add/edit user accounts, this lists the account types. if you do not use an admin account for day to day use (and you shouldn't) then you may also have to install a program called nero burn rights, so you can burn from a normal user account. for a quick fix, goto http://www.goldenhawk.com and download a demo copy of cdrwin. it is an excellent program, but a different beast to nero. for a cover editor, try www.cdcovers.cc and look for their cover printing program. it may install with spyware, though, i can't remember. this should get you burning and printing until you can uninstall and reinstall nero.
