Video Output Lost HELP!

i just got a new Geforce FX 5200 128MB AGP Card and when i installed it, it was good and all but then i started to see my videolost on my monitor, it would just turn the monitor like it was in standby mode, and i'd have to restart.. so i returned the Graphix Card for a ATI 9600SE 128mb AGP card, SAME AGAIN.. it happens like every 10 minutes.. what can i do to solve this problem ? im just lost.. VERY..

Its a real long shot but, turn of all the power saving crap in windows and see if it helps

Do you actualy need to restart the whole computer to solve it? or can you just turn the monitor itself off and back on?

You say now that it happens with the ATI card after removing the nvidia. Did you fully uninstall the drivers from nvidia b4 installing the ATI card?

Do you think its prolly the Monitor itself? I had a monitor do that, it was something overheating inside the monitor... I think it was a capacitor. Try another monitor before you send back your new card.

Vhockey86, I think maybe he would be using the computer when it lost the video. Maybe?
