CD Burner Problem!

Hey my cd burner is a plextor CD-R PX-W1210A... About a week ago, after finishing burning a CD. I tried to put another CD in and burn another CD. When i went to burn it, there were two options. one was "Image Recorder" and the other was "Plextor CD-R PX-W1210A". I tried to use the Plextor but it did not show that there was a CD in that drive. It only showed on the Image Recorder. I tried using that and it gave me several errors. Is there any way I can fix this Problem? Or am i screwed? Please help!

Welcome to the forum!

you definitely dont want the image recorder....(im not even sure what it does, lol)

do you have anything like a usb camera or something hooked up..something that would mess with the drive letters?

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the cd-rw software? I'd uninstall it and use Nero, if possible.

Also, cd burners are next-to-nothing after rebate, so I don't trouble-shoot burner probs too thoroughly- just pluck-n-chuck.

I'd still uninstall Nero completely, and reinstall. Windows is funny like that sometimes.
