Kids AHHH help me pick a mp3 player

well for the second time now my car has been broken into and ive lost a bunch of cds.... true most of them were cdr's but a few were some hard to find, and damn expensive...

so it occurs to me that i should just get a mp3 player instead, high storage capacity, easy to use, easy to transport. i already have a siig wireless audio adapter so i can just tune it in on my fm radio.

now the big question is what to get... ive been bouncing back and forth between an archos or creative. both companies have decent sized players for a good price. particularly the creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra 40 gig. only $250 on pricegrabber.

so basically im looking for other peoples good/bad experiences with mp3 players. im looking for something with at least 20 gigs of space and good features...

any input would be greatly appreciated. thank you

phenious also has the Zen and AFAIK he's also been quite happy with it!

Good solid product, I would definately recommend it.

I wouldn't say the apple ipods are cruddy. They are over priced, but that doesn't mean that they are bad quality. Look at refurbished ipods. If the prices are still not to your liking, techtv gives the gateway 40gig mp3 player and dells mp3 player a thumbs up.

The Zen Xtra is a very good product. I've enjoyed borrowing it repeatedly from my friend.
