not sure if it'll help but spybot has a thing in it's tool section which displays various urls that IE uses for things, such as homepage, search engine, etc. autosearch might be there i dont know. spyware blaster has pretty much the same feature also.

I'm having the same problem tried installing msn toolbar didnot fix. I downloaded hijack this from download.com, but when I open it a black dos window opens and disappears. I can't get it to run or install.
Please advise.

I've been using netzero as a backup ISP for years and I suprised they would pull this crap.

Also I have run adaware and spybot to no avail.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated

this may or may not help.......i used it to rid myself of msn doing searches after an incorrectly typed address......(becase msn and alexa = pure spyware).......

start--search--related.htm..........search now

u should be presented with an "e" open it with notepad and the first bit in there should read

//Build the query
userURL=external.menuArguments.location.href;
RelatedServiceURL="http://www.google.com/search?as_rq=";

this means google is the default searcher if an address does not work. if u have another address in this p[lace replace it with the one shown here. save notepad chang and close.

This is what I found but I still get Hijacked by Netzero.

<script>

//Build the query
userURL=external.menuArguments.location.href;
RelatedServiceURL="http://www.google.de/search?q=";

//Perform simple check for Intranet URLs
//this is where the http or https will be, as found by searching for :// but skip res:
protocolIndex=userURL.indexOf("://",4);
serverIndex=userURL.indexOf("/",protocolIndex + 3);
urlresult=userURL.substring(0,serverIndex);

//Check if Intranet URL - then open search bar

if (urlresult.indexOf(".",0) < 1) userURL="Intranet URL";
finalURL = RelatedServiceURL + encodeURIComponent(userURL);
external.menuArguments.open(finalURL, "_search");

</script>
