Athlon 64 Laptop

Hello all, I'm looking to spend about $1300-1400 on a laptop. I would like to get an Athlon 64-M. The only one that I can really find anything about is an Emachines. Do you guys know of any others?

Thanks!

Compaq makes one, it has a DVD+RW drive, but fewer USB ports and no memory card reader. It also costs more.

I have the M6805 (which I'm posting on right now) that I just love It can easily handle anything I throw at it, even the latest FPS games like Battlefield Vietnam (while serving to 4 other computers )

Yeah...that's a bit too expensive when I can get so much higher end stuff from Emachines. I think I'm going to get the M6809...the only difference between that on the m6805 is that it has a 3200+ (200mhz faster), 20gb more of hdd space totaling up to 80gb, and it has a DVD+RW instead of just a CDRW/DVD-ROM combo. The best thing about it as that you get all those extras for only $150 more the the m6805. It such a great deal, IMO. It seems to be the best choice out there as of now....how long does the battery last if I may ask?

If I get it anywhere I'm going to get it from J&R online because I don't have to pay tax on it and you can still get a $100 MIR.

BTW, I know some of you are probably wondering to yourself why I want such a powerful laptop...the truth is that I want it to replace my desktop. I use my desktop computer as a server/main rig and want it to be a dedicated server for once.

Normal surfing, photochopping, etc gives me about 3-3.5 hours of time, gaming knocks it down to 1.5 hours on the battery.

BTW - I get 3dMark03 scores in the 2480 range with my laptop
