UT04 demo crashes?

Hey i just built a new comp.

Problem is in the demo i sometimes get hit in the face with a blue screen and some text along the lines of windows error or something.

I dont get a chance to read it but it makes the comp reboot . Then afterwards it sez the system has recovered from a serious error.

THe system is as follows:

1gig of ram ( pc3500 )
xp2500 oc'd to 3200 ( just set the option of 3200 in bios )

im wondering if i should increase the core voltage?

accoring to the mobo it idles at around 42 and peeks around 50. i thought that was ok.

Can provide more deails if neccessary. Its kinda worrying.

What kind of video card do you have? and do you have the latest drivers?

Does this happen when you run the processor at stock speed?

shawshank, its a 5700 ultra. it has got the latest foreware i think. ( 56.64)

Latest drivers are 56.72, download those, and then try it at stock CPU speed and see if it works.

ok downloading them on this comp now. UT running a botmatch atm. It doesnt crash right away. Only after a while of playing.

Are you overclocking the video card?

Maybe something is overheating? Next time it crashes, see how hot your video card it, feel the heatsync or if you have a temp measuring device, use that. I think it more hardware than software.

the video card is running in enhanced mode. Its a gainward golden sample card. I never suffured any problems with it in my other computwer ( the one im using now ) And i always run it in enhanced mode for gaming.

I guess it does qualify as overclocked although the settings a re "safe"
450 core and 900 and something memory.

Well when I was using the registry edit-coolbits, BF1942 would do the same thing with me. It would freeze up the whole computer, and sometimes get a blue screen. I got rid of coolbits, reinstalled the video card drivers and it has been working fine ever since.
