Windows Blinds/Other skinning programs

Hello techimo,

i have posted a thread about this a while back, but now i have a new system.

i heard windows blinds took up alot of memory and was unstable.

i want to skin my windows 2000 to look like something other than windows 2000 :P...

my specs are as follows

amd barton 2500+
1024 GB RAM
geforce 4 ti4200 gfx card...

do you think i will have problems with blinds? or are there any other programs that you recommend?

also, everything done by these skinning programs are reversible right?

thanks

eryk

Everything the skinning program does should reversible. I believe they only apply the settings if they are running in the background. Correct me if I am wrong.

Eryk,

The Screen Savers just had a segment on this very subject on Tuesday. You can view the article on their web site.

I haven't tried any of these, however. I did use window blinds for a while but it was dog slow and not very reliable. Maybe these are better....

Good luck.
