Microsoft Sound Mapper

I am trying to use Acid Pro 4.0 but I get an error message saying the devise specified (Microsoft Sound Mapper) is in use. I have no other programs running that I would think would be using that. I tried changing the audio device type acid uses but the other option doesnt work either, it says that that device i pick does not support the current output format. So basically I just want to know how I can free up that MSM so this thing works.

What sound card are you using. Some cards cant do more than one audio source at a time. Also when does it say that the format isnt supported? When you select it from the properties or when you start playback?

It happened when I started playback but I fixed it by selecting a different sound card in preferences (which i thought i tried before) and that fixed the problem. But Thanks for your help.
