Which 5950?

I'm planning on buying a FX5950 Ultra after nVidia releases their new cards. What I want to know is which maker to go with? I'm not interested in ATI.

Thanks

yah it wont make much of a difference on the manufacturer

the 5950 is way overpriced for the performance you might wait untill the 6800s come out in a week then you could get one of those or the price of this will go down

Yea my plan is to wait for the 6800's to come out. The prices of the 5950 should drop quiet abit. I hope.

I understand all the 5950's are performance wise very similar, thought packaging is different. Like everyone else has said I agree that the 5950's are way over priced for what you get.
I would say go ATI, but your not interested.

Yes it does seemed overpriced I planning on spending @ $200. I'm willing to wait for a month or so if prices don't fall I my deside to bite the bullet and go with a 6800. I've been reading and it seems quite a few people have had trouble with MSI cards. I agree ATI seems like a better card but after the way I was treated by their tech support a few years ago I swore I'd never buy from them.

Gaming Don't get a FX5950Ultra

My recomendation is eVGA FX5900Ultra

They have fantastic Tech Support and also have their own Forum for help from fellow members.

The eVGA FX5900Ultra comes standard with a Performance Bios that sets the clock speeds to 500Mhz Core and 900Mhz effective memory.

The eVGA FX5900Ultra also performs better than the FX5950Ultra in most tests.

The other reason I recommend eVGA is that if you buy from them you can take advantage of their new "StepUp Program". Within 90 Days you can send your card back and only pay the difference to upgrade to a better card.
