Linux Help...
Ok, I need to setup a Linux Apache Webserver with PHP and MySQL....I'm new to linux and need help. I know i need to start by installing linux(i'll be using RedHat 9) with the appropriate packages for linux. Getting the Apache and PHP setup I have been told is easy...i'm not sure about the MySQL though, as I've never done anything with SQL... any advice would be greatly appriciated!

Just make sure to install the packages in the install and start the service. That's it.

From there you will need to know how to create databases and enter, delete and update data. But that is all well documented on the mysql site.

is the mysql package included with redhat 9?

Yeah, the mysql server and client packages are included. just make sure to select them at install time. It will even autostart the service for you

as far as licensing goes, to run linux as a server is that still just install and go? or do I need to purchase anything to keep it legal? Please let me know! Thanks.
