THE SIMS vs CRC grrr

I recently switched computers with my husband. I reinstalled XP home edition only to find that there was already a virus on it. (worm blaster) I have successfully removed it, but now am recieving the message, data error : data 4.cab : cyclic redundancy check when installing the last of The Sims expansion packs (Makin Magic). All the CD's worked prior to this incident. Can anyone help?? The Sims Support will not reply to my emails. Any advise will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Wow, w2k and wxp are finally officially supported

I would start out by trying to install it from another cdrom drive. Or generally just check if the disc is unscratched and stuff.

Yeah, i would clean the cd and then try. If your still getting problems, can you return and exchange it for another copy?

You may also want to run your computer with adaware

and update it to make sure there arnt any other worms / trojans.
