UT2004 Screenshots

ScreenShots

Just got my website up and thought i'd post a few screen shots from UT2004, they're mostly just end shots.

So how do you like the game now that it's been out for a while? For me multiplayer is the only way to go, single player is boring! The voice chat is a great feature but no one uses it (atleast on servers i've been on). I try to use it as much as possible but it seams no one else has a mic. Communication is key to winning any team game. (really wish AA:O had voice )

Another pet peve is when everyone goes after only the first node (onslaught, all i play) hence better communication.

XFire: bfcx if you wanta join me playin

It is a great game much better than ut2003 especially the new game modes. I do however have some comlpaints about how the game runs. I have a 9800pro and a 3GHz P4 and the game only runs on medium, it could be my system fault but other games run fine. Also despite having a 1meg connection my online experiences have all been incredibly laggy, but I am going to wait these problems out as I know this is a game that I could play alot.

The game should run fine with those specs. I have the same specs but haven't installed ut2004 I will post back how it runs on my PC

I love this game, it came out yesterday in New Zealand and I got my copy at lunch time.

I play the game with all details turned on max with 1024 x 768
I get a brief slow down at the beginning of each map after its loaded 1-5 seconds, otherwise gameplay is smooth as. I am running this on a AMD 2600XP (266fsb), 512MB PC2700, Radeon 9800 Pro, Win2K

Have not done a benchmark yet, must try this wehn I get home from work.

How much different is the graphics engine from 2k3 and 2k4? I thought they used the same one, no? Guess not. I haven't had time to download the demo, but it better run good on my 3200+/GF4 Ti 128MB otherwise I'll scream bloody hell because ATI needs to relase their next offering so the 9800 Pro's price will come down.

The graphics look very similar and when you play the maps from UT2003 they look the same, but the install of UT2004 requires Directx9 where as 2003 requires DX8.
