Help! SCSI Card

Hey, I have a PCI Logic SCISI card

all i know about it is it 53C875/53C876

and it also says under device manager XMASSCSI SCSI controller

anyone know what this is, or what i can do with it, or better yet if it is worth and $$?

you mean you have a seprate scsi card? or you mean something in your device manager says "scsi"...cuz sometimes stuff shows up in device manager as "scsi" when it isnt actually a scsi card etc.

do you have any scsi hard drives? if not a scsi card wont do you much good

are you sure you got the right brand name??

do you see any other words on it etc?

does it have an "fcc id" # listed on it?? with an fcc ID# you can look up the brand and model etc

----

basic scsi cards arent too expensive nowadays so its hard to say....of course it could be a decent card

53C875 is LSI's UW-SCSI chip, the 876 being the dual channel version. www.lsilogic.com for proper drivers. For today's SCSI hard disks, UW-SCSI is quite a bit too slow though with its 40 MB/s bandwidth.
