RAM on the Rise

I've had to update the RAM prices on my company's website twice- once this weekend, and once again today- Prices are going up everywhere. Anyone know why?

There was a thread here not too long ago about this. I'll try searching for it, but I think it involved the firing of some key player in the memory market.

Yeah I was thinking of getting a couple Corsair Value 512MB DIMMS, but they've gone up $15/stick which makes me unhappy. And paying $160 for XMS Pro stuff and Mushkin Level III makes it that much worse.

And everyone says RAM is the cheapest way to add performance to your box......

damb shame, mind you I'm not looking at upgrading until the socket 939's come out so hopefully it should have come down by then

My boards maxed out 1gig of ram (2x512)

I want to start buliding a new machine about september, so I hope the prices drop by then
